Penalty points are a real threat to every driver – their excess can result in the loss of the driving license and the need to retake the exam. In 2025, the rules for deleting penalty points remain similar to previous years, but it's worth knowing the details to effectively take care of your qualifications.
How to delete penalty points in 2025?
- Re-education course at WORD: Participation in a one-day course at the Provincial Road Traffic Center allows you to delete 6 oldest penalty points from the driver's account.
- Automatic deletion: Penalty points are automatically removed after 12 months from the date of paying the fine, if you do not exceed the point limit.
Attention! The re-education course can be taken a maximum of once every six months and only if you have had a driving license for more than a year and have not exceeded the point limit (24 for experienced, 20 for beginners).

New restrictions and planned changes
- Not all points can be deleted with the course: Regulations are planned that will exclude from reduction points for the most serious offenses, e.g. overtaking at a pedestrian crossing, running a red light, or speeding by more than 50 km/h.
- Possibility of changing the frequency of courses: Work is underway to limit courses to one per year instead of once every six months.
