Warning road signs (A)
Get to know every warning sign that can appear on the Polish driving licence exam. Each entry includes the original Ministry description together with an English explanation, so you can memorise the meaning and react properly on the road.

Yield | Warns of an intersection with a priority road. The **yield** sign located within the intersection applies only to the nearest roadway in front of which it has been placed. A plate **T-6c** or **T-6d** placed under the sign indicates the actual course of the priority road through the intersection. |

Roundabout intersection | It warns of an intersection where traffic flows around an island or square in the direction indicated on the sign. |

Railway crossing with barriers | Warns of a railway crossing equipped with gates or half-gates. The plate T-7 placed under the sign indicates the arrangement of tracks and road at the crossing. |

Slippery road | Warns of the possibility of vehicle skidding caused in particular by a change in the road surface, its constant or periodic dampening. |

Cyclists | Warns of a place where cyclists enter or cross the roadway. |

Falling rock fragments | Warns about the possibility of rock fragments falling onto the road or lying on it. |

Airport | Warns of the possibility of a suddenly appearing low-flying aircraft or helicopter. |

|
Riverbank or river bank | Warns of a road section leading directly to a waterfront or along the bank of a river or other water body. |

Loose chippings | Warns of a road section covered with gravel (grys), which may be thrown up from under the wheels of passing vehicles. |

Light signals | Warns of a place where traffic is controlled by traffic lights. |

Other danger | Warns of a danger of a different kind than that specified by other warning signs.

Road accident | Warns of a place where, due to a road accident, the road has been blocked or vehicle traffic has been significantly impeded. |
