Get to know every warning sign that can appear on the Polish driving licence exam. Each entry includes the original Ministry description together with an English explanation, so you can memorise the meaning and react properly on the road.

A-7 Road sign A-7 - Yield Yield Warns of an intersection with a priority road. The **yield** sign located within the intersection applies only to the nearest roadway in front of which it has been placed. A plate **T-6c** or **T-6d** placed under the sign indicates the actual course of the priority road through the intersection.
A-8 Road sign A-8 - Roundabout intersection Roundabout intersection It warns of an intersection where traffic flows around an island or square in the direction indicated on the sign.

A-15 Road sign A-15 - Slippery road Slippery road Warns of the possibility of vehicle skidding caused in particular by a change in the road surface, its constant or periodic dampening.

A-21 Road sign A-21 - Tram Tram Warns of a tram crossing. A plate placed below the sign T-7 indicates the layout of the tracks and road at this crossing.

A-26 Road sign A-26 - Airport Airport Warns of the possibility of a suddenly appearing low-flying aircraft or helicopter.
A-27 Road sign A-27 - Riverbank or river bank Riverbank or river bank Warns of a road section leading directly to a waterfront or along the bank of a river or other water body.
A-28 Road sign A-28 - Loose chippings Loose chippings Warns of a road section covered with gravel (grys), which may be thrown up from under the wheels of passing vehicles.
A-29 Road sign A-29 - Light signals Light signals Warns of a place where traffic is controlled by traffic lights.
A-30 Road sign A-30 - Other danger Other danger Warns of a danger of a different kind than that specified by other warning signs. The plate placed under the sign indicates the type of danger using a symbol or inscription. The plate placed under the sign indicates:
  • T-8 - a place where vehicle traffic has been directed onto tram tracks;
  • T-10 - intersection of a road with a railway siding or a track of similar nature; at such a marked place, traffic on the road is stopped by a railway employee during the passage (shunting) of a train;
  • T-11 - ferry crossing;
  • T-12 - longitudinal surface drop;
  • T-13 - road section where surface deformations in the form of ruts occur;
  • T-14 - place of frequent accidents of the nature indicated on the plate;
  • T-15 - place of frequent accidents caused by slippery road surface due to rainfall;
  • T-16 - place of exit of privileged vehicles indicated on the plate;
  • T-17 - state border;
  • T-18 - unexpected change in the direction of traffic as indicated on the plate.

A-32 Road sign A-32 - Ice or hoarfrost on the road Ice or hoarfrost on the road Warns of possible frost or black ice that may occur on the road surface.
A-33 Road sign A-33 - Traffic jam Traffic jam Warns of frequent traffic congestion.
A-34 Road sign A-34 - Road accident Road accident Warns of a place where, due to a road accident, the road has been blocked or vehicle traffic has been significantly impeded.
